Fuel is available down the road, best to pop out at lunchtime and top up.  A torque wrench for checking wheel nuts, tyre pressure gauge would help.  I usually take spare throttle cable, exhaust bobbin, engine oil to top up if needed, some masking tape in case anything needs temporary fixing onto the car. You can take the kitchen sink but you can guarantee whatever may fail you won’t have it, although someone else might.

As for booking it in for a service, hopefully you’ve done that before but it’s always worth getting the car checked over after by someone who knows what they are doing after some hard track miles. Caterhams are built for the circuit. Tyres wear a lot less than those heavy tin tops.

    Enjoy it.

I am just fitting a 6 Point crotch strap and from what I can see with Tillets that is going to be difficult to do between the two positions. I did wonder if you could fit 2 crotch straps, one for you and one for your girlfriend set to two different lengths?

  3. From the Nova Motorsport website:

Nova Motorsport has secured all the residual stock from the Avon & Cooper Motorsport business. This valuable inventory is now located in our newly established UK Distribution Headquarters.

Our new factory is already operational, marking the beginning of an exciting journey. Starting from March 2024, we will begin the process of manufacturing the Avon Motorsport range. With the first tyres anticipated to hit the market in the second half of 2024, these selected product lines will showcase our unwavering commitment to performance, heritage and quality.

  4. I know that Solent 7s AR Andy Golden has one fitted to his R400D and from the conversation I had with him it is considered a fit and forget option. Not sure how it performs mind🤔

  5. I’d wager the ones off Ebay are the same as the Cafe Racer ones.  Think some people are making good money from selling these LED headlights well over what they are being sourced for.  As for the Caterham ones, ludicrously over priced.  Shame.

    Picture shows Cafe Racer ones.

  6. Try T cut and hair dryer on the white spot areas, and once most of the spots have faded use Woodsilk polish(available in all good supermarkets).  If this fails to restore them then you probably need them machine polished and a UV protection clear coat carried out at a body shop.
