  1. I have a crate EcoBoost 1.6 engine and turbo which was bought as a spare.

    The engine is still wrapped sitting on the pallet.  I’ve taken pictures of the engine as it is and unpacked the turbo.

    I’ll remove the packaging and take pictures of the engine when asked.

  3. Sadev 6 Speed Gearbox, Bell housing & Prop Shaft

    This gearbox has only completed dyno miles so is clean and new.
    It comes with 192mm Titan bell housing and a prop from Bailey Morris.

    Ratios are:
    1 - 2.071

    5 - 0.950
    6 - 0.857

    It’s currently fitted to a 1.6 EcoBoost with a 1053 transfer gear.

  4. Well, maybe I shouldn't be posting this, I've got the R300 D which has been upgraded to TB's and Cams, so it's now pushing 224 BHP.

    It was upgraded by Caterham when they converted it from their R300 press demonstrator to the R500 used on Top Gear (White with Orange Stripes)

    Its an S3 - with Kevlar Seats, Carbon dash, R500 nose, R500 bonnet, Titan LSD and Titan bell housing.

    Very fast car (but not a garage queen) loads of history.

  5. One of the Essex TOWIE lads has decided to sell his - 2 young kids and work commitments means he doesn’t drive it.  It’s a monster spec - nitrons, 230bhp, stack dash.  PM me if you would like more info, I will hook you up.

     

  6. Before I take the diff out of the Superstig (LF Mag Aug 2018) to send to R & R for a refresh, does anyone know what would be causing a clonk when you accelerate and decelerate "blip" the loud pedal.

    It sounds like the diff, I've had one of the driveshafts rebuilt because i thought it was that.  

    It only happens when not under full chat.  When you're giving it the beans you can't really hear it (prob because it's quite loud) but when you're driving around town and changing gear at low speed, it makes a rather annoying clonk each time you come off the gas.

    I'm convinced it's the pinion just needs half a turn to make it bite up to the CW a bit more, but i'm not really a diff expert.

    It's got a Titan LSD and when I reverse into the garage, it makes one hell of a racket clonking and banging, however this is expected behavior.

    If anyone else have suffered this, and could tell me how this was fixed i'd appreciate the input.  I don't really want to spend out on a diff rebuild if I don't need it.
