  1. Using used Michelin slicks, and swap wheels from side to side sometimes (as I’m sure they aren’t directional), but the fronts are wearing on the inside so tempted to swap the tyres over, but the inside face isn’t branded in the same way as the outside (not a large colourful Michelin logo) so got me thinking, is this ok?

    Cheers Darren

  2. Think the spindle is from a landrover and the part number for the nut is 3934, believe the thread is 5/8 24tpi AM 60deg, but don't quote me, i could be wrong.

Im after 2 black ones :o)

  3. Currently use: Used slicks for dry, new ish Avon CR28s for wet.

Car: 13 inch rims, 6 inch front, 8 inch rears, S3, 150BHP, maybe a little more in the future..

What are peoples thoughts on damp/cold days and light rain days. Don't want to use the CR28s as they are new so should last a good few years for just wet, so thinking of a intermediate. Not trying to set lap records but have a spare set of rims and space to take them to tackdays so might as well.

A021s? (Still a few sets around)

ZZS? (big money though :o( )

  4. Thanks Steve, Andrew was great, super knowledgeable! Top bloke.

As the Duratec has a coil per cylinder the E.S.Cylinders should be 1, which makes the revs match the ACE shifts light but not a very linear flow of the dial, Andrew said the fix is either a MBE update or take the stack taco feed from one of the trigger wires off one of the coils (as the MBE taco feed isn't updates regular enough for a smooth dial flow. Problem is the ideal will read 1/4 of actual (as only one coil feed), but that would be worth if for a better dial flow.

As the car is a recent purchase ive told my mate to talk to caterham to sort it.

    Cheers chaps.

  5. Stack have replied and said it should be set to 2 (E.S cylinders) but at 2 the revs are incorrect. Think it might have to go back to caterham as he only bought it a month ish ago

  6. Friend has only had the car a few weeks, when he got it I didn’t think the rev counter was working correctly but didn’t pay too much attention, looked at it yesterday and that’s when I started to look at the settings. It was originally set at e.s cylinder 1 and that’s what I’ve returned it to.

Its an original R400D so assume it’s MBE, I’ll look tomorrow, thanks
