  1. The near side lights all work fine. The off side are wired up using same colours as near side. I've been through the whole lot now with both a multi meter for continuity and with the bulb method to see if the circuit is good, which it seems to be.

Hazards work with all indicators too.

No LEDS in the loop at all.

  2. Bizarre one this; I did a pre-MOT check around the car, no problems - excellent.  Took it to the MOT station and got a big fat fail due to off-side front lights.

Turn side lights on - comes on no problem
Turn on indicator - no problem
Turn on headlights - side light/headlight no problem
Turn on indicators with headlights - indicator goes out and headlight dimly flashes

Now I am assuming that this is an earth fault that has raised its lovely head, but where to start?  I've stripped it down and can see nothing obvious (it was a vague hope). So is it just a case of checking every connection, and earth point to see if there is something amiss?  Has anyone also had similar?  I have been told the red/white on the switch can cause a problem, but it does seem a long way from the lights themselves.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers, Nick

  3. Apologies all, the body of my message seems to have not been added to the post

I have a 1997 1600 Crossflow Super 7, with a 4 speed gearbox.  The clutch needs replacing, so I thought as the 'box is rather clunky, to change this at the same time.  Does anyone have a rebuilt standard one, or perhaps something a bit more upgraded - SC etc?
My current box has an integral bellhousing, so I would prefer to replace ike for like, unless what you have has a suitable bellhousing that will require no further mods to the car etc.

    Thanks in advance.  :)

  4. Good morning all.  I have a small problem, namely non-functioning wipers.  Fuse is good, relay clicks ok, but no movement at all from thje motor.  Any tips?  I will take the switch out to check for dampness and corrosion but surely if relay clicking when switch used, then switch is good?

    Any help much appreciated.  TIA
