  1. Had an email conversation with the ever helpful Dave Andrews and his feedback was that providing the leads are located on the ferrules securely and the coil cover is in place it shouldn't be a problem. The VVC head has 12mm longer leads so would potentially sit proud even more. If worried about movement of the leads then a spacer can be made up from HD foam.

I did manage to push the leads down a few mm more with the help of some WD40 (cheers p.mole) and more leverage, so they're sitting 5mm proud now which I'm ok with.

Having done some measurements, the plugs should fit fine with 1mm spare, I think the problem is more to do with the tightness of internal ferrule locating tubes (oi oi), maybe over time they'll loosen a tad.

    Cheers all

  2. Pretty sure they are, putting a fair amount of weight into it, I just get the 1 seating "click". The plugs that came out were the OEM champion nlp100290 jobbies, they measure 5mm less overall length. Thread dia, length etc are the same as these NGK's, the extra length comes from the top half of the plugs...

  3. Hi all

Feel a little silly asking this question so apologies in advance.

Have bought 4 new NGK BCPR7ES plugs, the main coils on cyl 1 and 3 have gone back on neatly but 2 and 4 are now sitting proud having "clipped" in (approx 7mm proud).

I bought the 3330 variant having followed advice on a well known suppliers website but I'm now thinking I should've gone for the 1272 and that they have a slightly shorter overall length.

Can anyone confirm this or point out that I've done something very stupid before I shell out for another set?

    Cheers in advance
