  1. I bought some 8" black, sprung wiper blades from the Westfield stand at the National Kit Car Show a few years ago which fitted an SV windscreen perfectly but not a Series 3. This was shortly before l switched from a CSR to a Series 3 Supersport, so they've sat in a drawer unused ever since! *laugh*

  2. Hey Stephen, just to say thanks for organising this new garment.

My 2 base layers arrived this morning.

I immediately selected the electric green one, put it on and took it for a 150 mile blat!

The nice thing about these over some of the established brands is the cut. The club base layers don't cut into the armpit which makes them much more comfortable.

    Nice one!

  3. I have a brand new pair of Caterham Wiper Blades suitable for an SV or CSR.

They are unused in the original factory polythene packaging bags. Part no. 50V003A.

I want to swap them for a pair of brand new Caterham S3 Wiper Blades. I downsized my Seven so l am looking for an owner who has upsized.

I can bring them along to the Silverstone Classic Saturday/Sunday in case anyone is interested in a straight swap.

  4. Having made the trip at the weekend from West London to Stoneleigh and back again and only clocking 40 miles on the odometer, l paid a visit to Nick Potter on my trip up to Scotland.

His mechanics quickly raised the car on the inspection ramp and had a look.

They adjusted the gap on the sensor to about 1mm. Nick said that the gap is often too small which can become a problem in hot weather.

Nick runs a nice operation and has a good pair of mechanics on hand. He was able to look at my car at short notice and dealt with the problem with the minimum of fuss. Top bloke!

  5. When l sold my S3 Supersport in 2012, l bought an MX-5 MK3 model with the folding hardtop. I thought it would soften the blow and be more practical.

I have to say that after owning and driving it for 15 months, I couldn't wait to get shot of it.

After the Seven, l found it to be a lukewarm experience. The storage in the boot was not increased significantly either.

Of course, this is a personal view. I ended up buying another Seven in the end. Prefer the L7 club to the MX-5 Owners Club by a country mile.

How about looking at something like a Jaguar XK, John?
