Hello,

I spotted some corrosion just below both steel sill 'protectors'. I have seen this on other cars too. I've removed both sill protectors to understand the extent of the problem - see attached picture. This seems like the kind of issue that can only be fixed with a re-skin.

My current plan is to touch up the exposed area with some paint, and put some electrically non-conductive barrier on the inside of the sill protectors before reinstalling them. Does anyone have a better suggestion to limit the spread ?

Hello,

The lower area of both my car headlamps have corroded reflectors (see images). These are standard 2015 5.3/4 glass headlamps.

I do drive the car in wet weather. How common is this issue for other wet weather drivers?

I plan on replacing the headlamps with these from Caterham https://caterhamparts.co.uk/headlights/1932-headlamp-glass-rhd-2015-onwards.html

Any tips to prevent corrosion from occurring again, or at least slow it down?

Any tips for refreshing a nose cone grill showing a bit of rust? Is it just a matter of sanding it down, priming and repainting? I don't have a sand blaster.

Lad is finally interested in the car and wants to go for a drive. Anyone managed to fit a child car seat into an S3 with standard belts and leather seats?  Group 2/3 seat  (15-36kg, 3-12 years). I've seen it done, I just don't know what brand and model it was. Thanks.
