  1. The tank pump has the part noAC6443327 - think its the injection. Purchased the tank as a spare now need to install it in the car. This is the specs

    222 L/hour

    168L/hour @ 3bar

    126L/H @ 5 bar

    Max pressure 6.6Bar

    Just need to confirm

  2.  There's option to turbo the Crossflow. Its has a steel crank and rods with low compression pistons . Its just the weight issue compared with the Sigma. The end result will be about the same 180bhp

  3. Caterham 1996 live axle  - originally had an asthmatic 1600ccc crossflow.  We initially fitted a supercharger however had heat and packing issues.

Have been told a sigma engine  offer the best balance option for a Caterham . The car is used 40% road 60 track.

    Whats the general consensus ?

  4. Every thing was progressing:medium_IMG_7339.jpg.c1990cd69845c8c6b2393e34e0eec4f4.jpg

    • Intercooler fiited
    • Drysump tank fitted and plumbed
    • Oil to water cooler fitted
    • Electric water pump fitted
    • Supercharger oil cooler and plumbed and fitted
    • Injection fuel tank fitted

    Then the problems:

    • Fuel rail on the 30mm Jenvey throttle bodies is to high even with short injectors
    • New plenum fouls the engine bay crossmember

Now reverted back to 114mm throttle bodies and custom prepreg carbon inlet. Will be glad when this one is done!

  5. The English axle as been re-worked at Arch. Interesting comment about widths  both are on the workshop floor Ital and English will do a few measurements.

The English axle has been converted to discs and has an alloy diff carrier and TranX LSD. The halfshafts are standard  undecided on converting to Quaife  Group A with a separate hub and bearing.

  6. Its  been a long road! Had it on the dyno at 180bhp and 160ft/lbs with more leaks than the Titanic. Suspect its good for 200bhp.   The engine is moved back approx 75mm to accommodate the drive belts etc. Its also running a drysump lots of pipe work.

Currently working on the rear axle and front uprights/ brakes

  7. Running a 1750cc supercharged Crossflow Approx 180bhp.  The tyres  would be Yokohamas A048.

The reason for the the question is from a performance handling perspective. The car will be used for trackday mainly.

  8. Rebuilding a 1996 Live axle car. Currently upgrading the axle to an English with LSD. The next issue on the list is the wheels.

Plan to run 13" however 15" are an option . Whats the best combination of size / offset?
