That's great, thanks

Hi, I also have a similar car (Yr 2000 K-series) with a Banner battery, with regard to the 4 points above what readings should you normally expect to see?. I check fluid levels and just topped up last weekend but when measuring any readings I don't really know what I should be looking for.

Is that a Maserati Mistral spyder on 13 March, lovely car, far more elegant than some of today's cars.

Seems a bit odd I've had my 2000 1.8k for 6+ years and hardly ever have to top it up, even after a 550 mile daytrip in the summer.
-
I used to have a similar issue with my k series if not used much but it disappeared once I had a battery cut-off switch fitted.

. I asked for a copy of the terms and conditions (I only have a letter that says my car benefits from a '12 months' parts and labour warranty' as a Selected Caterham vehicle), which he has refused to provide.
Same here, when I bought mine from Caterham Gatwick in 2018 as a Select model I was told the same, there is no "warranty" booklet/t&c's, they just agree to remedy it. I did need them to replace the windscreen after a wiper flew off and the remaining part scratched an arc on the screen. They replaced it with no quibble but that was just a few days after I bought it.

Thanks Jonathan I'll have look tomorrow.

The fuse for the 12v socket on my year 2000 k series has just blown whilst using a tyre inflator, (tyre inflator still works OK on another car) is there an easy way to tell which one needs replacing. I dont have a wiring diagram but wonder if it is always the same fuse in 7s this age & engine.
Any help welcome before i go with trail and error.

Hi I'm in Epsom but have taken my 7 to either Seven & Classic or Caterham Gatwick, they give the car a quick once over to make sure it will pass and I've usually waited while it's done (using a local garage to them).

Saturday 29 heading into town down East St. A lovely morning for a blat.

Light blue with white stripes along Horton Lane early afternoon. I went out in mine shortly after lovely day for it.

Thanks GJT & Jonathan, I read the comments in the above link and it seems to work if I disable rich text (before starting to write).
Thanks

Hi, (not a 7 tech question) my Samsung phone (2 year old A40) recently updated itself overnight but i am no longer able to post anything in the comments section on this website via it. When i make comments and click POST a message comes up asking for comments first. I've tried this several times and it is fine when i use an iphone or laptop.
I've sent a Test post but my comments within it were not posted - just the title.
Has anyone else experienced this? is there any permission i need to reactivate in my settings as I haven't touched anything since the upgrade.
Thanks

Slightly OT, but one question for me is how long after 2030 will it still be possible to freely drive our existing 7s? Will ICE cars be slowly taxed off the road or generally made unviable to own? Longer term what about the supply of petrol, I'm sure many current petrol stations will start to look at replacing pumps with plugs for EVs even though there may well still be a lot of ICE cars on the roads.

That does look very tempting,

#7 I also use the Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care on my hood, boot cover and side screens and agree it works a treat.

I've had battery issues in the past (Banner in a k series) which I suspect is related to the immobiliser but these have so far gone away since I had an isolator fitted and a regular check on the water level, which in the last 18 months has needed one top-up.

Wow what a coincidence I was on that road in my blue with silver stripe (single stripe) but on Saturday!

Having seen the use of ACF50 mentioned on a number of posts, is there anything to be wary of when applying it, I assume keeping it clear of brakes is one but what about any exposed electrical components? Also can it be used on pretty much any surface, metal, rubber tubes etc.
Thanks

That's great thanks both, I will get one fitted.

I have my 7 in a garage away from the house so no ability to attach a battery charger / conditioner and so far I have been disconnecting the battery (Banner in a1.8 K series) when I don't use the car for more that a week, I am now considering having a Master Switch fitted and wonder whether this will be better.
I know it will be easier to use and I will have it fitted professionally but how do they interact with the immobiliser? will this still operate and is there any chance of the battery still being drained too much if the car isn't used within a certain period?
Any advice welcome, thanks
