Sorry should have included some scale reference
It is about 1" long

Thanks for your replies
Its made from hard but flexible rubber/plastic and the "shaft" end is square profile and has a couple of small indentations along one side like it was wedged in something.
Definitely came from cleaning as it was me that did the work, no longer trust window cleaners who scratch glass with their long brushes and magic water.

Way off topic here but does anybody recognise this part found on my patio after over enthusiastic window cleaning (frames cobwebs sills etc) when I popped outside to admire my handiwork found this on the ground, assume it is from windows on first floor? Tried an image search online but couldn't find anything.
Can't see anything missing from anything I cleaned
Ideas?

Did you check the electrolyte levels in all the cells? Should be covering the plates in each.
My Banner requires frequent top ups of distilled water when left charging for long periods on the CTEK. Once the levels drop the battery performance suffers.

Saw you twice on the seafront, lovely day for a blat

Thank you Tom
If this seal is reusable should I be able to just remove it and check for damage and providing all is OK clean it up/degrease and refit?
It never leaked before a cam belt change ( carried out by a respected dealer) but since then has annoyingly seeped a little oil on and off.

What is the a accepted wisdom with regard to using RTV on the cam cover seal/head interface?
I have a small seeping oil leak from the exhaust side of the cam cover and plan to replace the gasket/seal, I'm hoping to get the part/s from my local friendly Ford dealer as CC are out of stock. Should I ask for a tube of suitable sealant or just fit it "dry"? Some appear to add RTV to the corners where the seal goes over the cams.
Is there a torque setting for cam cover bolts? And any other top tips appreciated
Thanks

Replacement knurled fastener thingy arrived today and fitted straight on 2012 SV speedo, thanks again Jonathan

Thank you Jonathan
My order is in

Yep thanks Jonathan I had seen those but wanted to be sure of the size and or metric/imperial, perhaps there is a nut expert on here...who will give the nutty answer

I appear to be missing one of the two small knurled thumb nuts that should hold the speedo in the dashboard. Does anybody know a good source for these? Or what size of thread is used? I hoped I might find it in the footwell but unfortunately not, maybe it got vacuumed by the previous owner after it presumably came loose and dropped off....
I'm sure I could find something usable in my box of bits but be nice to get the proper item
Thanks

The cr500s on my 2012 Roadsport SV were only 4 or 5 years old and had already hardened to a state the tyre fitter described as "wooden" when he removed one to fix a slow puncture. You will almost certainly notice a big difference with new rubber no matter what you fit. I changed from cr500s to TR1s as all my driving is on the road. They are not really designed for such a light car as the caterham but are a great improvement on the hardened Avons which tramlined badly and were rather too exciting in the wet or cold.

Has anyone fitted/replaced caterham side decals/stripes with the exhaust can in place? Car is a Sigma SV so nearside is easy access. Offside/driver's side looks very tight access without first removing the exhaust and Cat. Has anyone managed to fit them with exhaust in place ? Top tips and suggestions welcome.

Anyone tried fitting new decals with the exhaust can in place? Car is a sigma SV so access to near side is straight forward. Is it possible to fit the offside without removing the standard exhaust?
Top tips and suggestions welcome

Thanks for the quick response I should have added that my car is also an SV so similar to yours. I'll get my pump....

Anyone have any specific pressure experience/advice for this tyre apart from the usual "about 18 psi"?
I change from CR500s which were old and wooden (5years) to the less expensive more touring-focussed Toyo. They came with 22psi in them which felt a little stiff but still seemed to drive nice enough. Interestingly they leave a slightly bigger gap between the cycle wing stays and the tyre sidewall, which I understand can be a problem on the CR500 Avon replacement the ZZR/ZZS at 195/50/15. The Toyos tramline a lot less than my old CR500s but that could down to the new verses old rubber. Since I don't intend to track the car I decided it wasn't worth the extra cost and potential hassle of fitting the taller profile ZZR 195/45/15. Any suggestions on air pressures ?

All sorted thanks K7 VCT

Now sorted thanks
Wanted 2 x original style red/amber rear light lenses, must be in good condition and not cracked/melted on the tail/stop section. Maybe someone upgraded to clear lenses and have these lurking in their garage/mancave?
Off topic mystery upvc window part

Genius Sam !
It is the non-slip insert from the leg of a plastic folding kitchen step I used to reach the top of the back door frame. Which I had long since put away when I found the mystery part, nothing to do with UPVC
You know how annoying these things are when you can't place them, now superglued in situ.
