  1. For sale is a set of 4 13" Avon ZZR tyres - the front ones are 185 wide and the rears are 215 wide.

Lightly used - between 4 & 5mm tread on all of them.

I'm asking for £225 collected from KT14 7LT or a nearby service station.

  2. For sale is my Voyager car cover - only used once. This cover is designed to fit over an SV car. RRP is around £80 - I'm asking for £50 collected from KT14 7LT or a nearby service station.

  3. If rejection is an avenue you want to explore then the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline are worth talking to (03454 04 05 06).

All of the following is pretty much based on the dealer accepting that there is indeed a fault with the car - if they're not doing that then a written report from a 3rd party professional is probably what you're going to need, but that's uncharted territory for me.

Essentially if you bought the car in the last 30 days, then you have the right to rejection and a refund without giving the dealer an opportunity to repair it.

After the first 30 days (but inside the first 6 months), the onus is on the dealer to prove that the problem was not present when you bought the car and you have to give them 1 opportunity to repair it.

If they fail to resolve the problem on the first attempt, you can then reject the car and demand a refund.

If they fail to resolve the problem on the first attempt and you give them a second attempt, and they fail, I was told (by the consumer helpline) that it's harder at this point to justify rejection.

If they solve the original problem on the first attempt but another one crops up, then you have to give them 1 opportunity to repair that new problem (and so on).

Hope that helps, apologies if not, good luck!

  4. Finally got around to fitting mine. Nice quality item and very simple to fit - thanks a lot for doing these! I've gone from 7" to 5/34" LED units at the same time, so hard to compare like for like, but I'm definitely a fan of the lowered headlight look.

  5. Fitted mine to my 2004 SV this morning, very pleased with an excellent quality product. Some before and after photos attached. The old "seven" and mesh were both pretty ratty so while I had them off I ran the mesh through the dishwasher, went over it with some 800 grade wet n dry, then sprayed black and clearcoated.

Fitted the new "seven" in front of the mesh - it's too pretty to hide!

  6. I've done a fair amount of googling for this, but have failed to come up with a definitive answer. Does anyone know for certain if 13 x 7 et24 team dynamics pro race 1.2 wheels will fit all round on a 2004 SV Caterham? Even though the wheels would be the same width all round, I'd look to run 185 tyres at the front and 215 at the rear.

A few places sell these, advertising that they'd fit a Caterham, but I've found little evidence of people actually running them....

  7. I use an SJCam 4000 Wifi - it was £60 so a damn site cheaper than the equivalent GoPro. No external mic option though, although there is a well documented "hack" which involves some soldering to disconnect the internal mic and add an external mic jack.

I'll probably give it a go, and if I screw it up buy another for £60 and leave well alone!
