Be good to see some info when you get the time although I do fear that today these are probably priced higher due to their condition/spec etc. But worth an investigation!

I sold mine late 22 and it now resides in central France, then moved house etc and have just started thinking about another, however everything has gone up it seems!
Does anyone have anything gathering dust? Use will be road, the occasional track, sprinting etc that type of thing. No need to be perfect, but anything can be considered.
Would prefer a genuine car, factory built would be a plus. Dry sump, great, carbs, yes but I'm happy with TB's.

I have an HPC, would it fit the Vauxhall engine? Where are you based please. I am looking export the car to France and it requires a five speed box
yes it'll fit, all VX HPC's had the type 9 5 spd anyhow so whats fitted to yours at present?

Sounds electrical, Mind you years back, Our new TVR with a ford cologne engine had the same issues, I'd run it in (remember those days!) then suddenly pressure dropped to 0 when we hit 3k, let up the accelerator it came back to normal, thought it was electrical, but no it was the oil pump! New engine. Had to run it in again.
Good luck, keep us informed.

you talking specifically about intake or exhaust (or both) noise?
The cam and the current tune will create a different set of intake noises on tick over and whilst running through the rev range, have you had the carbs balanced and set up on a rolling road to harmonise those? The exhaust side, as Michael says, a decent can such as a raceco will do wonders

very nice, I'll try and share as I do run a FB page specifically for these awesome 7's

I sold my C20XE HPC mid last year, house move, covid, flu etc all done and am thinking of a replacement for 23.
So does anyone have either of these sitting around gathering dust?
-
yes thank you Martin, one to be aware of for those of us with original equiped cars.
-
I can echo Rogers comment on the wooden feel but they do the job when needed. Problem is when I swap over to my daily, I nearly put the car on its nose!

buying a new MBE ECU with loom costing around £550. Loaded with a base map for my carburetor car and it was plug and play
Sounds the way I'm looking to go, mine is OK but its the original ECU.
-
Is that MBE the original? I have read that these are showing their age, unfortunately replacements of those are just not readily available it seems.

or the battery is flat........

as per #6, a decent exhaust shop would be able to make one of those up.
those I've spoken to using a decibel slayer reported very mixed reports, but dropping 4db is quite a big chunk of noise to lose.
-
he can but apparently the moulds are in need of some TLC.
-
Thats what I have on mine, I run 888's as I like the deeper sidewall profile these give in those sizes.
-
I do sprints independent of the club, I'm in Cambs, happy to help where possible.

Too wide for the fronts surely but OK for the rears, I run original minilite 7's on the back of mine and they tuck into the arch nicely, my previous 7 ran 7" wide rears from JBW, nice wheels but the offset they had meant the rear tyres aligned with the edge of the rear arch so had a deeper dish.

I've been looking for ages for an older 7 in need, few and far between

We're all still waiting on the OP, I think its been sold as despite messaging as sharp as I could and chatting to the OP I've yet to hear, and it had to be collected around now so unfortunately I'm not hopeful...
