jmalcol1
What is the best way to remove the spare wheel carrier and retain the option of re-using it as and when required? John M GK03 EGX SV
CageyH
Do a search in the archive. What I remember is to use a pipe cutter, and leave a stub to reconnect the carrier. I got arch to remove $the whole carrier.
Drumster
I followed the instructions that I found here. I would add that a piece of old cycle wing stay is the perfect diameter to fit into the stub on the rear panel. David M
There was a recent thread that showed an excellent small bar attachment to make up something that looked like a bumper... looked really neat and a great idea.......

Drumster
Note; it's worth using a pipe cutter to get an even round finish when 'chopping' off the carrier Chris Alston 1800 Supersprint here Drive it like you stole it! but don't tell my pupils that 😳
