Selection of result from search gets HTTP Error 400

If I select on an item returned from a search I recieve, "HTTP Error 400 Bad Request Due to malformed syntax, the request could not be understood by the server. The client should not repeat the request without modifications." Any ideas, please?

Steve, can you tell me what search criteria you used, and the name of the topic that you then clicked on please?

 

I just tried a simple search and the links worked ok, so I could do with a couple of pointers.

Search for: rollbar

search all words

search forum: all forums

search by date: any date

 

returns a list of 11 items, 5 blatchat archive, 2 wanted, 1 for sale, 3 techtalk.

 

on selection all return error 400 - except "haven't a clue!!!!!!!"

I ran the same search and all the links are ok!

 

What browser and operating system versions are you using?

Win95 & Netscape 4.7

 

Maybe its something to do with firewalls and proxies - I'm at work - but I don't see why.

 

I'll check at home.

 

Aha! Colleague with IE5 has no problem.

I've tried it at home where I have Netscape too and get the same problem, it must be something to do with Netscape.

then it's probably sloppy coding on my part blush.gif IE is a lot more tolerant of missing tags than Netscape, I'll take a good look at what happens when the link is formed.

I've changed the code, and it now works for me in Netscape 4.6. Could you have a go from your end and let me know if you still have problems.
