Seven on a diet

After fitting every go faster bit and a 220 Bhp K series engine in an attempt to make my car go faster there seems to be only one sensible route forward to better performance. You guessed it, the owner needs to loose at least 10 Kg and the car 30 kg.

Anyone know how much weight can be shed by removing/ replacing the following:-

1. Carpets from Boot, rear bulkhead and transmission tunnel sides.

2. Windscreen, stansions, side doors in lieu of Jpe screen and half doors

3. Wipers,wiper motor,washer bottle etc

4. hood stays

5. ss rear wing protectors.

6. Heater and valve.

As a last resort if my diet doesn`t go well what weight loss can I expect from CF nose cone, front & rear wings and dash.

Rob - if you search the forum these have been posted.

From memory that lot will drop it 30kg or so.

The carbon bits do save something and certain bits are a fair bit lighter (nose especially). But I don't know the exact amounts. They also significantly lighten your wallet.

Rob ,

If you want the answer to your question , bring your car over my place and we can put them both on the scales at the factory down the road .

Mine weighed 505 kg last time with half tank of feul .

The scales may not be deadly accurate but it would do as a comparison ?

Ps - the biggest weight saving on fitting all the carbon would be from your wallet . By the time you recovered from your depression you wouldnt give a monkies anyway wink.gif

My wife suggested the best way for me to loose 10kg of useles fat was to chop my head off sad.gif

Have a safe trip to france
