Peter Carmichael
I need a U-bolt to clamp around my roll cage. The tube diameter is 32mm and the one that I have mutilated and ruined was an M8. Where do you get these from? Too small for exhaust fittings and my local fasteners shop doesn't have one...

Irrelevant
U bolts - go to any tyre/exhaust place and ask if they have some. Of course they will, as they fit exhausts . . . . they'll give you some and they never, ever charge a penny. Make sure you ask a fitter not the organ grinder though. Halfords are about £2 each or something so p1ss-takingly expensive that I wouldn't buy them if I was the Sultan of Brunai.
