christian.v
Can't see what the problem is. Advice from someone who uses their car in a track environment can be very useful to a road oriented driver. It's obvious that the car is put to different uses from the replies in the threads. Factor in that sprinters like to get the best of both worlds, and that's better advice still for road guys 😬
Phil
So Wooly is there a difference in the oil used in a track car compared to a road car and should you change it every five minutes and suffer cold start up wear for the sake of the ocasional track use? christian.v
I would say, and you would see for the various threads on this subject, that both groups have the same concerns and the majority would use the same oil, say a 15-50W
Phil
The 15w/50 synthetic or not, is not the best for road cars and in most cases is not correct for track use as a 10w/50 or 5w/50 etc would be better, anway the point is not all are as switched on as your good self and may be new to the world of 7s, as they are asking for our help, a fair question would be track or road use to give the best advice. Example here is a posting where someone askes what are the best tyres to go for.......when use is not stated, every day car? track Use etc the size was not even given of the wheel. Ok there is a line to be drawn as to how much info you can give at the bottom of the posting but some is better than none. Just a thought and thanks for your input.
