Mole
The car is a 1977 Triumph Spitfire 1500 - the problem is that I can't find where to connect the LT wire from the distributor (being a K-series man, I'm not exactly au fait with this wonderful but ancient technology!). According to the wiring diagram in the 1979 Haynes manual ( 😬) the connection should be to the negative side of the coil, but the connectors are all wrong for this and there's nowhere on the coil that doesn't already have something connected! More confusing is that there seems to be a wire connecting directly from the -ve to +ve sides of the coil!  Can anyone throw any light on this? SV 52 CAT - moles fly -
Normans_Ghost
The LT wire from Dist goes to the coil. other wires may be there as you may have ballast resistor. Carefull not to put it to live side as this will burn out the "pigtail" wire inside distibutor. norman verona 1989 BDR
