Guest
Would the standard K-Series silencer fit an SV ?
Guest
Can I have dibs on the standard K-Series stuff until there's confirmation if they'll fit on an SV or no? Edited by - Peter De La Mare on 26 Nov 2013 15:08:
Neil F
Not sure to be honest but will try to check. I suspect that the silencer is the same but the manifold will be longer for an SV
Neil F
Looking at the Caterham online store I suspect that the silencer is actually different. This is the item for an SV here and this is a standard S3 here. I reckon the section of pipe is longer where it meets the manifold and it may even be a different shape throught. What do you think? This picture has some measurements if you have an old silencer for reference? here. A quick call to Caterham Parts should do the trick. Hope it helps! Leadership Team RogNeedham Posted November 27, 2013 Leadership Team Share Posted November 27, 2013 Hi Neil.... roughly how many miles has the R400 silencer done? whose make is it? thx Rog
Neil F
Hi Rog Its a Caterham item, part number CSP658T. I can't confirm the mileage unfortunately. Its not originally from my car but I never fitted it (it was a spare I picked up) so it has done zero miles in my possession. I don't believe it to be that high judging by the condition.
