Sheds Moderator Posted August 20, 2011 Share Posted August 20, 2011 I used to carry a cut down bike brake cable inner. If you have a problem it will be the inner, as outers last for ever. Suss out how the nipple attaches (mine was a screw on connector, on the K) and you are done. If it breaks, just thread a new inner in and fit the nipple. Bike brake cables can be got in bike shops or Halfords for loose change - £2 tops. Top tip- keep it under the bonnet, tyrapped to a chassis diagonal, same as the clutch cable spare.
