davelloyd
Topping up with oil yesterday noticed washer bottle and bracket dangling from chassis. On further inspection note both screws sheered off.Is this one of those situations where they all do that sir! I have removed bottle from motor is it possible to disconnect motor from wires it looks like some sort of snap connector surround by wire. Out of interest car had mot last week do you have to have washers for mot with windscreen? Cheers

davelloyd
Cheers Gavin I have taped the motor to the battery for now,if not too much hassle thought would disconnect motor and tape wires and sort out when 'summer' over but not sure if can disconnect. Bricol
You have to have working washers to be road legal as well - even an empty bottle is finable. Why not simply screw the bracket back on? Or get a new bracket? If the snapped off screws are self tappers, punch 'em through and use new, slightly larger ones. If not, drill, tap some more holes and reattach.
