ian.hoper
Hi Each My old X flow now vibrates from the engine area it seems when I get to about 65 mph and if I lift off disapears then comes back at this speed and goes off past it . As i said past this speed it seems to be ok but puzzled where to start looking for cause . Will have the wheels ballanced soon but think it is something else .Am told it cannot be the crank ? Any one struck this problem in the past . Help welcome to narrow down cause . Ian Hoper
Little Bob
If it was the crank wouldn't you get the vibration at the same rpm in all gears? 1.8 SuperSport
Phil
Check out your engine mounts as they are not the best of designs and the bolt will move around in the rubber when old. X/FLOW 1700 DD 1990 ROAD USE ONLY..SO FAR

Foxy Smith
Vibration around 60mph is usually down to wheel balance, or lack of.
caterhamnut
Yep, check the prop - jack up the car safely, reach under (engine off!!) and see if there is any play in the UJ joints... www.mycaterham.com here Videos here 98,000 miles -1st 1.6k Supersport, '95 Motor Show car
