Club Pyrenees Tour 2027

In September 2025 the Club Tour set sail across the Bay of Biscay – destination Northern Spain and the Douro Valley. For 2027, we are once again heading back across the Bay, but this time to the Pyrenees and points east of Bilbao / Santander.

Based on the overnight stop schedule below, we aim to keep the point-to-point driving time to no more than five to six hours, including one two night and one three night stop at different locations, to allow a little more free time to mix blatting with more traditional ‘touristy stuff!”

The objective is to create a relaxing tour for all participants, with everyone being able to choose the speed at which they wish to travel.

Our accommodation will comprise a mix of elegant 3-4 Star Paradors and hotels across the region, all of which have been tried and tested over the years and which are used to hosting car tours.

I last visited the Pyrenees back in 2012 and was genuinely blown away by the quality of the roads, the spectacular scenery and excellent food. Sadly on that occasion we were unable to drive across a couple of the famous ‘Cols’ used on the Tour de France as our trip took place in May and we were advised that the locals would not appreciate the glorious sound of Sevens’ exhausts reverberating off the mountains and causing avalanches!

The Club Tours have become very well attended over the past few years with many members repeat booking, which is great to see…..so…..

….for 2027, it would be wonderful to encourage touring newbies to dip their toes in the water, so we have decided give four weeks advanced notice of places going on sale, to  allow anyone who has not toured before to get in touch and ask questions.

So put October 4th 2000hrs in your calendar and get ready to book!

OUTBOUND: Thursday 02/09/27 leaving Portsmouth at 1900hrs, arriving in Bilbao on Saturday  04/09/2027 (2 night sailing)

RETURN: Saturday 11/09/27 leaving Bilbao at 1300hrs arriving in Portsmouth on Sunday 12/09/27 (1 night sailing)

From 04/09/27 - 2 nights in Hotel du Palois Pau Centre (Bed & Breakfast)

From 06/09/27 - 1 night in Hotel Gallia Londres – Lourdes (Half board)

From 07/09/27 - 3 nights in Monasterio de Boltana - Boltana  (Bed & Breakfast)

From 10/09/27 - 1 night in Hotel Maisonnave – Pamplona (Half board)

Parking is included at each location.

Prices are as follows: (based on Euro to GBP @ 0.8557)

Double / twin occupancy room - £2570.00 per couple (in one car)

Single occupancy room - £2282.00 individual (in one car)

Deposit - £300 per booking (suggest that this is paid by credit card)

The above prices include:

• Crossings are as 1 or 2 adults with a standard size car, in an inside cabin for 1 or 2 adults outbound and return. 

• 7 nights in Paradors and hotels mix of B&B and half-board

The above prices do not include : 

• Meals on board the ferry in both directions.

• Group meal deals are available. Once exact numbers and preferences are known, appropriate arrangements can be made

We have a total of 19 spaces available on the trip and accordingly we believe there will be a lot of interest.

THE STORE WILL BE OPEN FROM 2000HRS ON OCTOBER 4TH 2026. TO BE FAIR TO ALL, BOOKINGS WILL THEN BE ON FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS

In the event of an excess of demand, we will operate a reserve list.
