The Big Picnic is in aid of the Club’s chosen charity, Prostate Cancer research (PCR), so please make a donation worthy of you, your car and the event. As usual, we leave the amount up to you, but we respectfully suggest £15.

The Ashton Hayes estate is the 70 acre grounds of Club member Barry Searle, exclusively reserved for members and their families for the day, though we ask you kindly not to bring dogs. We expect the grounds to be lush at this time of year and the rhododendrons in bloom around the lakes. You don't have to come in a Seven, but we hope you do. Gates open at 10:00 and, to allow your fellow marshals to also enjoy the day, we will be closing the entrance gates at 12:00 and closing the event at 17:00.
Like last year, this is a relaxed social family event. The only driving involved is getting there and getting home. Oh! And trying to get members to park in a straight line (yes, that does mean YOU)! Kick the tyres, see a few classic supercars and tractors, take the (walking) trail around the wooded grounds and a few silly games.
Bring your own picnic, perhaps a glass of rose and join us in the Walled Garden, where we also have some silly, friendly garden activities planned. Tea, coffee and squash, pizza slices and a hog roast will be available around lunch time (first come, first served), as will home made cakes.
