After racing Bugatti’s and Alfa Romeos in the 1930’s including a one off hill climb at Joel Park, Northwood Hill, Middlesex and the Donington Grand Prix in 1935 he retired after a bad crash in the South African Grand Prix
His aircraft collection includes a Bleriot X1 and a Deperdussin monoplane. The Bleriot is now the world’s oldest flying powered aircraft.
