Front off side wheel overheating 1988 crossflow

Hi my front off side wheel overheating could it be the caliper?, i have jacked it up the wheel spins ok there isn't any play, if i have to change the bearings do i need special tools or can i re grease them, thanks in advance.

Sounds like the calliper is binding. Take 7 out for a drive to get the wheel hot. Jack it up to see if the caliper is stuck on.

The wheel will be stiff to turn and you can't remove the caliper if you unbolt it.

 

Bearings are fairly easy to grease but you'll need a press to change them. You will need to fully remove the hub to get inside. You may need to buy a new split pin when reassembling for pre-load.

Hi Guys, thanks for all your advice it was the stuck caliper after all, i have overhaul both of them, i had one problem since the front locked when i tested them a lot of smoke soon as it cooled  down it freed it freed it self its been ok since? fingers crossed, Thanks again for your help.
