It’s at Ashton Hayes, seven miles East of the lovely city of Chester, and it’s on Saturday, 3rd June on the 70 acre estate of Club member Barry Searle. The grounds should be lush, the Walled Garden tranquil (wot, with all of you there?) and the rhododendrons in bloom around the lakes.
Like last year, it’s a relaxed social family event; kick the tyres, take the (walking) trail around the wooded grounds. Bring your own picnic, perhaps a glass of rose and join us in the Walled Garden where we also have some silly, friendly garden activities planned. Tea, coffee and squash will be available, as will home made cakes. Barry’s even laid on a coffee machine, so we’re organising a barrister (surely some mistake there).
As last year, we leave it to you to decide how much to pay for your tickets, though we would kindly ask £10 per head. You can book your tickets up until 26th May, here:-

It’s in a great cause that’s right up our street for the Club’s demographic. PCR even has its own Infopool to help and support anyone newly diagnosed, or who is receiving treatment. Who knows when any of us might want their help, and support?
So come and join us. We’d love to see you there. And if you don't come, to quote the poet, "Just give me the ... money."
