  • Caterham Cars confirms temporary showroom home

    Guest

Iconic British sportscar manufacturer, Caterham Cars, will move into an interim new home in Crawley next month.

The new and used showroom will take up temporary residence at Unit 11, Denvale Trade Park in Crawley, West Sussex, before moving to a new – and much more spacious – permanent facility not far away.

The Company, based in the Surrey town of Caterham from which it took its name since its inception in 1973, has been forced to leave its existing showroom facility on Station Avenue after the site was sold to developers.

Caterham has secured a six-month lease on the Crawley unit, while details of the marque’s exciting new permanent premises will be revealed in due course.

Caterham Cars managing director, Graham Macdonald, said: “We had a couple of options open to us as a temporary location for our sales hub. This site in Crawley offered us the best combination of showroom space and offices.

“We are still working hard on a new long-term home and hope to have something to announce soon but the timing of the sale of our existing home in Caterham has somewhat forced our hand in terms of having to make interim plans.

“We will endeavour to make sure that the transition between sites is as seamless as possible and does not affect our customers in any way.”

Caterham Cars is expected to vacate its current premises by the end of February. A final farewell and autojumble event will be held at the Station Avenue showroom, in conjunction with the Seven Club, on Sunday, February 17.
