Chris__ Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 What kind of sealant/gloop/'stuff' do I need to use to make sure the repeater wires for the indicators stay where they should on the underside of the cycle wings, and there's no water ingress guys (edit - erk - or gals, of course )? Thanks. Chris. Edited by - Chris__ on 14 Mar 2006 09:56:12
Dicky Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I used nothing to protect mine when I changed to clear indicators. And even after a year and a half of driving I have not had any problems atall, and I have driven in some very wet weather ! Wiring is just stretched accross to the wing stay and secured with a zip tie. Having said that I am sure they will fuse on me the next time they see rain 😬
dangerous_bryan Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 I have mine stretched and cable tied at the top most part of the wing stay. I could have easily used the sealant that the wings are bonded on with, this is just the black windscreen sealant that you can get a small tube of from a motorist shop (probably not Halfrauds though). Chris__ Posted March 14, 2006 Author Posted March 14, 2006 Seeing as some type of sealant was on there before, I'll try the windscreen sealant. Cheers guys.
Trevor Newman Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Why havent you threaded them dow the middle of the stay much neater IMHO
