CageyH Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 With a PCD of 4.25" or 108mm? I have done a search in Techtalk and get various responses. Forgot to mention it is a de dion fitment. Edited by - CageyH on 13 Mar 2006 19:06:32
Pelico Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Cagey. Funny you ask. I bought a pair of 7'' minators with CR500s (see other thread) from George Polley as I knew he would know which one to go for. Will it be marked on the wheel, if so I can have a look for you tomorrow. Thanks for your advice on my overheating problem. Peter
CageyH Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 Peter, That would be great. Thanks. Just out of interest, what was the total price? As for the overheating problem, no worries. I have been there after picking the car up from having some work done. Hope all is well with it now. Kevin
Pelico Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I am away from home at the moment and can not remember offhand. I will blatmail you offline the price tomorrow.....just in case Mrs Pelico is looking 😬
The Polisher Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 The two 7" wheels that I recently bought from Polleys for my dedion are ET5 having an internal offset to the rim of 120mm. The outer edge of the 205 tyres are flush with the outer edge of the rear arches. 😬 Dave H. Mad about S77ENS
k.russell Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Had a look at my 7" rears today with a veiw to buying some more, they are ET5 as above, i bought from GP kevin R black-ali HPC
Casbar Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Do different wheels need different ET's Polley recommended ET24 for Compomotive CXR's for 7" rears
Neill Anderson Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I think you will find that most 13" wheels, Ford fitment, of that sort of width, 7 or 8" are destined originally for Mk1/2 Escorts and are usually ET5. The narrower ones, 6 or 6.5" are available in a better ET20 sort of region I think this is historically for caliper clearance issues and to hell with steering geometr, scrub radii, kickback etc etc Neill
