Peter T Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I have replaced my front tyres and found they have both cracked, the split is all around the inner section of the sidewall. These were not even worn out but showing signs of deteriation possibly due to age, they are circa 2000 when the car was made. I have instructed my supplier to send them back to Avon for inspection.I did not see this until i took the wheel off, i feel so much better now knowing that they could have seperated. Is this normal? rgrigsby Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Hmm not sure but I've never seen it, then again i've never had a set of CR500's on for longer than 18months without wearing them out so I may not be the best example. Rob G www.SpeedySeven.com

WILL FLY Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Peter, you need to get out more 😬 6 Year old CR500's should be in a museum because you have the only set around. I alternate my CR500s with a set of 14" 021s so they are a couple of years old but still fine. Roy See willfly.net for more info. Peter T Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 Roy, i have only just bought the car, it still had it's original tyres on, only 3968mls. 😳 They did not feel right which is why i changed them. I have been out blatting, but i cannot today as i am waiting for my exhaust collector to have a lamda boss welded in so i can get it re-mapped at Steve Greenaulds. Roll on SUMMER YEAH. 😬 😬 😬 😬 Carbon Components Here K9 Composites
