Little Bill Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Redline Components in Caterham Road and Race - Where are they?? or Caterham Cars? Also, is there a difference between an apollo tank and an anti-cavitation tank, (or is apollo a brand name for an anti cav tank??)  😬  Â
CageyH Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Anyone of them should be able to help. An Apollo is an anti-cavitation tank.
shn7 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Not sure Road & Race would do it as they are gearbox/diff specialist AFAIK. Why not DIY. There's nothing hard to it. If you're not sure of your abilities there may be another member locally who can help. That way you get to know more about your car and learn something new . Steve.
F355GTS Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Little Bill I'm sure Angus and I could guide you through the process  Mark
old captain slow Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Can I change my advice. I agree DIY. There's nothing to it technically. I'm just fitting one now. C7 CDW
Little Bill Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Thanks Guys,  Was talking to Lakey about doing it myself, but (It's not an excuse but, honest! 😳) we are half way through an extension and have no garage, no driveway, no kitchen and the poor Caterham is under a cover out the front of the house.  I've got a track day coming up on the 5th April at Brands (following one I did there last week). So in a bit of a hurry!! I don't want to wreck the engine  I would love to take you up on some of your advice support in the future though, thanks Mark *thumbup*
WILL FLY Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I can recommend Mr F355 and Angus motoring services ltd. Their labour rates are a tad high due to Marks ferrari upgrade addiction 😬 Roy. See willfly.net for more info. If you don't spin you ain't trying Happiness is knowing you have just a tad too much power Â
John Howe Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 It is a DIY job... open a few bottle of red and watch the helper do it for you. Redline, every time if you are going to pay someone. R & R are gearbox experts JH Deliveries by Saffron, the yellow 230bhp Sausage delivery machine

Dickie Normuss Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I've done a search but can only find reference to fitting one to a 'K', I assume it could be done for a Vx? Seek forgiveness, not permission. Rules are for the interpretation of wise men and the obedience of fools.
