What size oil catch tank size

Mine currently goes into the open neck of an an old 2.5Ltr turps container 😳

 

I was advised by one of the scrutineers that the breather pipe should really be a sealed connection into the container with a second pipe looping out of the top to ventillate it. Anyway there’s a few ‘proper’ catch tanks on Ebay but do the regs state a minimum size?
