Condensation in the fuel system?

I can't imagine you get it at the moment. I use mine as my only car doing 500+ miles a week and haven't had any issues. I can't remember for sure but doesn't water sink in petrol therfor any contamination would be in minimal amounts at a time and constantly cleared through. At a guess symptoms would be tempory rough running, poor idle as the fuel / air mix would be wrong *confused*

Seek forgiveness, not permission.

Rules are for the interpretation of wise men and the obedience of fools.

Angus

If you have rough running or loss of power it could be water in the fuel.

In light aircraft condensation is areal safety issue and tanks are provided with drains

at their lowest point to get rid of it.... NO such luck onthe seven!

One preventative measure is to leave tanks as full as possible

a slightly worrying thing that I have seen is that over time (years) the ally tank can become porous due to tiny globules of water attaching themselves to miniscule particles

of sand and the like and slowly rotting the tank.. The first sign is blue staining from Avgas *eek* *eek*

might be worth a look.

Cheers John 😬

Thanks guys - I think me issue may be injector related, rather than moisture - but got some fuel dry stuff anyway, just in case.

Funnily enough I learnt about the water drains in plane fuel tanks from watching Top Gear the other week, when Captain Slow was flying Hamster across Europe!
