metal mickey
Does anyone know of a gear indicator that will give an ecu input and a dash mounted gear indicator 🤔 I need one that is configurable so an ecu will know which gear is selected at any one time. Thanks.
Peter T
Most gear indicators are just a potentiometer, they work in the same way that throttle pots do. It is a case of at a given possition they give a varying voltage that is supplied buy either an ecu or a driven output of 0-5 volts. The signal is then interpreted by the ecu and gives the relevant posistion of what is being calculated. The quaife unit has a box which desiphers the signal which relates it to a iluminated display. You could in theory splice the output to an ecu, this is assuming that it to can interpret the voltage signal. If the ecu has a program in it which you can calibrate with the corresponding voltage output of the pot then it should work.  Carbon Components Here K9 Composites
