Irrelevant
I'd assume these are not bespoke , so what car/van were they lifted from? After a hi-vis (pocketted side) driver's door if anyone's got one?
Paul Ranson
They're either 'bespoke' or original equipment on the Jaguar XJ220. Paul
Chelspeed
They are bespoke, made specially for Caterham by AP. And AP won't sell them to you direct. So you either buy one from Caterham, get one second hand or do something else.
Irrelevant
Thanks Chelspeed . . . . I will see if my 'something else', involving JB Weld 😳, works. If not, it'll be a trip to Dartford before Harewood ☹️ After a hi-vis (pocketted side) driver's door if anyone's got one?
MikeE
whilst on the subject, how do you identify a race MC from a standard one? R400 Duratec 230bhp
Chelspeed
Race ones are more smooth cast ally than the standard ones which are bit ruff. Race ones have a machined spigot sticking out of the non business end, about 10mm diameter and 10mm long. Not sure what it's for but it's on all the race cylinders, something to do with the machining process presumably. Think the fluid reservoir might be different, ones more rounded, ones squarer, but as I don't have either to look at it's difficult to be certain. It's easy to tell which is which by looking but quite difficult to describe.....
Irrelevant
Machined spigot eh???? In that case, maybe I don't have the race MC after all. That means I can upgrade and forget the bodge... Dartford, here we come.... 😬 After a hi-vis (pocketted side) driver's door if anyone's got one?
