dvhea11
hi folks, yet another attempt to find a good solution.....I wonder if anyone can help ? using the bike's coolant temp sensor means that I do not get any sensible readings from the standard caterham temp gauge.....I am stuggling to solve this without spending £120 (cost of complete set of new clocks from scrappie/cost of replacement honda unit).....can anyone suggest anything ? many thanks in anticipation (again !) regards Maddox
Martin Plant
On my car with the stack dash the standard temp sensor hole in the thermostat housing has been drilled and tapped to take a stack sensor. Couldn't you do something similar with a regular caterham temperature sender? Martin www.caterhamblackbird.com
dvhea11
hi Martin, thanks for your post - much appreciated. I have since found that are worth a look (£40 for replacement gauge , I don't know if you are aware of them or have used them yourself in the past ? they are 10 miles away from me which is good this may seem like a strange question, but do you work for an internet bank ? regards David
Martin Plant
No I haven't but will definitely be investigating that site. Yes I do work for an internet bank. Hope you're not an upset customer Martin www.caterhamblackbird.com
