CharlesElliott
I've just changed the front brake pads on my car which was very easy (except that I had no anti-squeal shims 🤔) Anyway, after fitting the new pads would it be sensible to remove the lid from the brake fluid reservoir and pump the pedal a couple of times?? My thinking was that the lid could be holding the pressure level and if the new pads were slightly thinner (yes, thinner!) than the old ones you are continuing to pull the pads away away from the discs. Although I assume over time that air will leak back into the system. Anyway, am I talking rubbish? Charles --- My Caterham Academy 2004 Diary
F355GTS
Charles The Master Cylinder should have a small air bleed built in so you shouldn't have to remove the cap to allow the system to fill Mark
