Brown Sauce / Red Sauce

For my lunch I have just had a sausage roll, and a cheese and onion pastie.

 

Sadly the brown sauce ran out before the sausage roll did, and red sauce is just not up to the job of an SR.

 

HOWEVER red sauce is admirable with a C&OP.

 

This got me thinking, is there any correlation between brown/red saucery and the food stuffs they go with ? We need some emprical evidence.

HP is essential on all cooked-english-breakfasty type things - very nice with fried eggs *smile*

 

Heinz tomato ketchup with fish & chips *thumbup*

 

That new tomato ketchup with Lea & Perrins is v. nice too *smile*

Wimps, the lot of you The only way to eat bacon, sausages, pork chops etc. is raw and unsullied. *tongue*

 

 

On the other hand I do like a smattering of the red stuff on chips. Oh, and they are one thing I don't recommend that you eat raw (Wolf's culinary tip of the week - yours free of charge).
