nbut
Hi, I needs to rebuild my splitrims and just wondered if anyone had any tips on doing so, or do I give it to the pro's 😬 😬 Nick butler
Slipper man
I don't know why you need to rebuild them, but it is very easy. You should use new bolts, and would be well advised to crack test the centers. Seal the wheel by putting a bead f silicone on one rim (on the vertical face where the wheels bolt together, do up all the nuts and bolts, and then smooth the silicone with your finger. I can't remember the torque for the bolts - i think it was 25 lb ft, but you should ring Barnby and get the correct figure
martinwhitcher
Just done the same thing, 18lb/ft is the torque. Martin MW 51 CAT Superlight No.

martinwhitcher
Clear silicone is best, the type you get from DIY outlets. Martin MW 51 CAT Superlight No.
