andygriffiths Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Is there a minimum height that these lights have to be?Or is there an exact position to fix them to the back of the car ie so far in and so far up for the sva requirement. Thanks Andy G GRIFF
brentus Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Mine were attached but not vertical. They followed the angle of the back. The foglight must be vertical red and black Academy 2004
Mr Locust Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 I remember now. The screws are into rivnuts behind the tank on later cars. To get the lamp vertical, the trick was to slacken the pins off and jam a bit of petrol hose behind the top edge. Then it falls out when you get home Ian Green and Silver Roadsport 😬
Stevesvc Posted January 28, 2004 Posted January 28, 2004 Reverse lights – optional Rear Fog lights - one obligatory, Position Central or to off side Max height 1000 mm Min height 250 mm Separation from stop light 100 mm Alignment – rear facing – vertical face. Must have a warning light visible to the driver Approval Marks “E” and “B” or “F” If not “E” marked the lights will be tested against a standard to ensure they are bright enough. The rear fog light must be brighter than a stop light – they both have the same power bulb, 21w, the additional light is helped by the reflector. Hope this helps Steve @ sVc
