Pete H Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Can anyone recommend the best way to get an R300 to pass drive by noise at Bedford. Was there last year, and easily got through static at the begining, but was black flagged on the last session. Not a problem on the day but I would like to go back. Considering a Raceco silencer, or the new big box off the R400 SV, but worried that induction may still put me over. Theres too many mikes to lift on them all. Thanks
Jan T Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 FWIW I have an R300 SV with the big box and whilst it has not yet been tested at Bedford I reckon it will be OK. A static test last summer at Castle combe only showed 90.8dBs. Jan
The Gimp Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 how much are they please I also have An R300sv but i think it would struggle at Bedford on Drive by it has the large box fitted Lov Yoo R300 FAT
fatcat Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 a Raceco silencer and a Reverie carbon airbox got my SV R500 through all the noise tests at Bedford last summer - 97dB on static IIRC. Both are good bits of kit and the silencer is notably lighter than standard & repackable. regards fc
