Bob Corb Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 Can anyone tell me the small part no (~9 digits) moulded onto the side of an R400/R500 injector. I was told they were the same (and the R300 was a lower flow). Cheers Bob
Slarty Blat Fast Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 R400 "0280 155 868" Absolutely no hitchhikers
Bob Corb Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 Cheers, theres no way I'm paying £100ea for those things. I dont know where Caterham get them from but if they're charging 100% profit margin even they are being conned... BC
edmandsd Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 I have to take my hat off to Caterham actually in the way they prevent Caterham owners approaching their suppliers directly. £100 an injector is about the same as my Cossy grey's, so you may find that they're only making a small margin in any event. Bob Corb Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 Yeah, I know parts can be expensive, especially parts for low volume sports cars. It just depends if you actually work for "Cossy" or not...? BC
Bob Corb Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 You're a bit of a sleeper there Andy!
Mike Bees Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 £100 each? Find out what the flow rate is, what impedance they are (almost certainly high), and phone Fuel Parts here to see what they have. I bought some Weber 330cc/min injectors from them for about £50 each a few years back. Mike
