AMMO
Thanks Roger, I took the carbs off the car last night to take to work and give them a good strip and clean before the putting the car on the dyno. They are Dellorto 45 DHLA with 36mm chokes. The manifold is only 40 mm so there is a step between the carbs and manifold. As I think the carbs are too big and I can't be arsed to take the manifold off to match it to the carbs I'm thinking of going back to DCOE 40's if I can find a set. The car seems to be in a low state of tune which I'm not too concerned about as long as it gets me through to next winter when the Zetec goes in. Fuel consumption is in the low 20's which would be fine if the car was a rocket which it isn't. Thanks also Roger for the ignition timing advice you gave me over the 'phone. Set it up as you recommended and it runs a lot better now. Like to get it totally sorted before the Summer as I won't have any free time then.
