AdamQ
A battery charger that I've always liked has turned up its toes. Opening it up immediately indicates what the problem probably is - see the slightly charred thing near the centre of the picture between DB1 and D5... Can anybody tell me what it is that I need to order and try to solder into place? Any assistance greatly appreciated ... Adam
Jonathan Kay
Looks like a resistor. But I can't make out all of the coloured bands. SM25T
The worry is ... What caused it to overheat like that ?
AdamQ
I think the overheating might have been my fault - I attached it to a knackered battery with the charging rate turned to maximum... Thanks Jonathan - I'll remove it and see if the colours are intact on the underside...
