HendrixsWhiteStratReturns
Hi all I have Tag Heuer Professional 2000 (one of a few decent watches I own) and it needed a new battery and pressure reseal. A Tag high street retailer quoted me £285 which seems excessive to say the least !!? Anyone had similar work done ...how much were you charged. My watch is mint condition and had a full service in 2019 (different retailer) and has no faults
Hooley
I used to live in Tring and used The Watch Doctor, they used to charge something like £35 for a battery and re-seal for a Tag. J Just checked and it's £36 https://watchdoctors.co.uk/watch-repair/tag-heuer-watch-repair/ Edited November 20 by Hooley

Area Representative Wrightpayne Posted November 20 Area Representative Share Posted November 20 I have used Watch Doctor to service my mechanical Omega Seamaster - very please with them and will go back when needed again.
ScottR400D
Watch doctor has a very good reputation. I believe he actually contriibutes and gives advice on Pistonheads. My son and his wife both have TAGs and have had them serviced there.
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted November 20 Leadership Team Share Posted November 20 An alternative I have used (particularly handy if you are in London) is Tic Toc Man in Hatton Garden. I've only used for battery changes and pressure testing of a Brietling but know of others who have had good experiences with them doing prestige watch repairs https://www.tictocman.com/
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted November 20 Leadership Team Share Posted November 20 I have a Tag Heuer Professional 1000 … and I change the batteries myself. The quartz movement failed around 15 years ago and after a number of silly quotes I managed to source an original TAG movement, the movements are made by ETA but it took me a while to find a correct TAG branded one. I then bought all the tools to do the job for less than a “professional” battery swap. My TAG has a certain amount of sentimental value being over 30 years old and if it was an automatic I’d have it professionally serviced. It’s only a basic quartz watch though and likely not as good as the equivalent Seiko. Stu.

john g
Like Stu, I bought a ‘watch kit’ and change the battery in my TAG, ensuring the sealing ring isn’t perished, myself. I do hasten to add that I wouldn’t dream of dipping it in water and if I did have issues with it it would go elsewhere for repair.
Beaulieu17
I have used Watch Hub a few times for service, repairs and battery/pressure test. I go to their premises in Peterborough and drop the watch off which usually includes a long chat with the owner who is friendly and knowledgeable. They do offer a postal service as well. Details can be found at www.watch-hub.co.uk.
