Aces shift lights flickering

Had to tape them up recently. Just flickering in random fashions at random revs. 
checked all wiring and seems secure. 
anyone know where to start or what else to look for?

1 Do you have the wiring diagrams for the shift lights and for the Seven? Please send me a Private Message with your email address if you need either.

2 Do you have a multimeter?

3 What engine and ECU?

4 Is the tachometer behaving normally?

5 Any recent work or drowning that could have affected anything?

With flickering as described a multimeter probably isn't going to help. You would need an oscilloscope wouldn't you?

The display itself is very simply wired, a common negative plus an individual wire to each LED, therefore if you are showing unusual activity on more than one LED the display will not be at fault.  It's therefore likely the unit or the signal to the unit that's at fault.
