shart
Basicaly I need all of the bits to put an engine onto a gearbox. The parts are required to fit a k-series into a 1971 spitfire. I can get egines and boxes easilly from scrap yards but I need the parts to put them together. From past experience I believe that the following is required: Flywheel and clutch cover, clutch plate, release bearing carrier/clutch arm, starter motor. There is probably a whole host of other bits required as well. What else do you have and what is your e-mail address? mine is shart@chiron77.freeserve.co.uk
Bob Corb
Dont forget that the caterham uses its own special sump which is another £200+. Titan motorsport do both the caterham bellhousing and another K to type nine box, this mounts at a different angle, (I've checked) There is one of these for sale new and unused at the following address. http://www.racecar.co.uk/racecarparts/sale/index.html It just depends whether the spitfire accepts the standard K sump which is quite deep, but will probably give less oil handling problems seen in caterhams (knocked out big end brgs) If the bellhousing isn't sold I'd be interested. Cheers Bob
