Speedo issue

Recommended Posts

On a common route I take near my home there is a small hump In the middle of a fairly long straight piece of road. Going over it at anything over about 45 causes my speedo to temporarily stop working. It probably lasts for less than a minute before it starts reading correctly again.

What's causing this? Am I in danger that one of these times it won't come back at all?

If the sensor is the one with the light on the back of it, you can check that the light does light up on all 39? teeth on the hub when the hub is rotated slowly. Mine didn't register a few of them so the needle was bouncing and erratic. Perfect after adjustment when all the teeth were registering.
