captain chaos
I've just applied some Waxoyl to my car. It does not say anywhere on the tin how long it takes to go off or set? Could anyone that has used this product give me an idea? Thanks
Pierre Gillet
I would say that one day would be enough if you have applied it without adding white spirit. The product remains as a wax really, so do not expect the coat to get really hard. In fact it melts under a finger if you touch it...However I was surprised to notice that it does not catch road sand, gravels etc. Pierre
captain chaos
Thanks Pierre, I have to say it was a bit of a messy job. I used the pressure gun which you can buy with a 5L can and although the instructions said 'apply thinly', I had no chance with the gun. Quite a thick coating built up at the bottom of the engine bay as the skin folds under the chassis. However, I'll leave it on now over the winter and probably wash it away when spring arrives. captain chaos
No problem there thanks Rory, the cars only had one road trip in the last few weeks. The waxoyl is just extra protection for the time in storage and for the wet weather that we will no doubt get next year. Happy New Year to you toosmile.gif
